Dato' Sim Choo Kheng is the founder of Sim Leisure Group and responsible for spearheading the company’s strategic and creative direction and the expansion of Sim Leisure brands, including the design and development of new projects locally and internationally. Dato' Sim has devoted over 33 years of his life to the leisure industry, where he has overseen the successful delivery of more than 300 themed projects around the world. He is a visionary and a true entrepreneur who has persevered in creating a new attraction / family entertainment genre with his revolutionary thinking. Dato' Sim was recently bestowed the coveted honour of being inducted into the World’s Top 50 Influencers by Blooloop, the world’s leading platform for visitor attraction professionals, being the first Malaysian to be conferred this honour.
Silviya Georgieva has been instrumental in raising the bar in the implementation of the Group’s Human Resources, Company Administration, Finance and Corporate Compliance and provides management direction towards its current and long-term goals and objectives. Having worked with the group for over 16 years, Silviya is also responsible for directing the strategic operations of the company across the ESCAPE Parks and KidZania Kuala Lumpur.
Tan Boon Seng joined the Group in June 2020 as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director. Boon Seng has a strong background in finance and investment and corporate banking. He has very diverse experience in corporate governance through his investment portfolio and directorships in the regional corporate scene. He also consults the group on strategic corporate finance matters.
Bryan Chung has more than 20 years of experience in various industries including audit, corporate banking, fund management, private equity and venture capital. In addition, he was also part of an equity crowdfunding platform and sat on the board of an e-wallet company in Malaysia. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Catherine holds a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Banking and Finance, from Monash University and graduated with an MBA from RMIT University. She has more than 25 years of experience in the Banking and Financial Industry. Her experience spans across retail, SME, Corporate Banking and Regional Loan Products. With her passion in the SME segment, she has during her course of work partnered, grown and supported numerous privately held SMEs into listed entities.
Stephen has over 40 years of experience in the attractions industry, which includes management and consultancy services, as well as serving a 16-year tenure as the General Manager of Wet n' Wild Waterworld and another seven as Chief Operating Officer of Warner Village Theme Parks, both in Gold Coast, Australia. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of Themed Attractions Malaysia. Stephen is the Chair of the Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association (AALARA) Landborne Inflatables Safety Committee and is a former Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
